‘Standards’ Recognition Award Criteria

‘Standards’ Recognition Award Criteria

Tournaments are recognised based on a 'Health Check' score that analyses how well the tournament(s) meet the Organisational Requirements. The score is weighted towards more critical items of delivery including areas such as administration, facilities and equipment, and healthcare. Tournaments must score over 90% in order to receive the award, noting that Multiple Week tournaments (those that host combined and/or consecutive weeks) have their scores averaged across a given swing.

Criteria

The award is based upon the data from the most recent tournament (or swing), and if the standards have fallen based upon the above-mentioned criteria, then the award is removed. Tournament Recognition awards will be considered twice a year, in advance of the next edition of the tournament.  January to June tournaments will be informed in the final quarter of the previous year. July to December tournaments will be informed by April the same year.

It is acknowledged that there are more requirements for higher grade tournaments, as such higher level events are measured based on more aspects of delivery.

Whilst the initial intention is to recognise 5-10% of tournaments, as more tournaments meet the criteria it is anticipated the number of tournaments achieving the recognition award will increase year on year. A nation can have more than one tournament receiving an Award in any period.
