Vietnam put SANDEVER Beach Tennis Kits to use
The Vietnam Tennis Federation has wasted no time in rolling out its Beach Tennis programme after the arrival of their SANDEVER Beach Tennis Superkits last month.
The kits were distributed to Vietnam as part of the ITF Beach Tennis Global Development Programme. Vietnam is one of 11 nations to have received SANDEVER Beach Tennis Superkits (each kit comprising of one court, four paddles and six Stage 2 balls) in 2022, with all the necessary equipment to allow nations to develop the sport.
"A big thanks to Sandever for supporting the equipment for Vietnam," said Doan Thanh Tung, General Secretary of the Vietnam Tennis Federation, while Pham Trung Hieu, beach tennis coordinator at the VTF, added: “Our goal next year is to hold more beach tennis tournaments as well as start working on the Junior program. We will bring more players to the National Beach tennis tournaments."
Similarly, the Algerian Tennis Federation staged the inaugural Algerian Beach Tennis Championships last month, described by General Secretary Hamza Khelassi as “another positive step to promote Beach Tennis and increase participation," with the nation looking at hosting its first ITF tournament in 2023.
With Beach Tennis included in the inaugural Central American and Caribbean Beach Games in Santa Marta in November, 2023 will also see the Caribbean continue its growth of the sport, Grenada launching its first Beach Tennis programme in January.
