Luka at him go: Mikrut extends winning streak to 15 matches
Croatia's Luka Mikrut cracked the ATP Top 300 this week after a stunning run of form that has seen him win the last four tournaments he has contested on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
Mikrut, a former junior world No. 40 who competed in the boys' competition at both the Australian Open and Roland Garros as a junior, is spreading his wings in the men's game this year.
The 21-year-old won the M15 Antalya title without dropping a set at the turn of March, and, after a quick segway to compete at the Zadar ATP Challenger where he fell to Borna Coric in round two, he returned to ITF competition to launch a 15-match winning streak.
He reigned supreme on Croatian soil at M15 Opatija and M15 Dubrovnik, either side of winning at M25 Antalya - all without dropping so much as a set.
His latest triumph, against Bosnian Nerman Fatic in the Dubrovnik final, saw him climb to a career-high ranking of No. 293 on Monday.
Mikrut has won all six of his career ITF singles titles on clay - with four coming in familiar territory in Croatia, and two in Turkey.
He has won 25 of his 27 singles matches on the dirt this season, which bodes well for the remainder of the clay court swing.

Mikrut is one of three men - alongside Britain's Oliver Crawford and Georgian Saba Purtseladze - to have won four titles on the ITF World Tennis Tour this season.
Purtseladze also secured his fourth tournament triumph of 2025 this week - winning at M25 Sharm El Sheikh.
All nine of the 23-year-old right-hander's professional titles have come at ITF hard court events in Sharm El Sheikh.
