The ITF Academy is celebrating a landmark moment after the number of people to have used the education platform surged beyond half a million.

The Academy is an online hub which houses information, education and certification courses for use by ITF member nations, coaches, players, tennis support teams, parents, guardians and fans. The ITF Academy can be accessed here.

Since its launch in March 2019, a total of 505,709 people have used and benefited from the ITF Academy – a key Development initiative which feeds into the ITF’s purpose of improving tennis for future generations.

“We are delighted to have passed the 500,000-mark in terms of ITF Academy users and we very much hope to see that number rise to a million and beyond in the coming years,” said Luca Santilli, the ITF’s Executive Director for Tennis Development.

“We know from the 2024 Global Tennis Report that more people than ever before – 106 million – are playing and enjoying the game of tennis and we are determined to see growth in all aspects of the game.

“There are so many people who contribute to the growth and improvement of tennis, and the ITF Academy is a tremendous resource for individuals to learn more about the sport we all love.”

It is free to register for the ITF Academy, which offers a variety of short, engaging e-learning courses on tennis but also sport in general, wheelchair tennis, beach tennis and blind tennis.

Beyond these courses, the ITF Academy also features a library with high-quality videos from tennis conferences, articles and scientific research papers. Content is presented through a variety of formats, including text, images, videos, audio, and animations.

The Academy is a valuable resource for anyone looking to learn about tennis and improve their knowledge, skills and understanding of the sport.
