Jacquemot doubles ITF title haul - two years after striking debut win
Elsa Jacquemot captured her second professional singles title – over two years after her debut triumph on the ITF World Tennis Tour – after winning on polish hard courts at W75 Leszno.
The 21-year-old Frenchwoman put the gloss on a fine fortnight at ITF level after backing up her runner-up finish at W75 Andrezieux-Boutheon the previous week with a title at the next time of asking.
She defeated Xinyu Gao 6-4 6-1 on Sunday for her ninth win in 10 matches in a run that sees her climb to No. 140 in the WTA rankings – just three spots below her career-high.
Jacquemot’s debut title in December 2022 came at a significant event at W100+H Dubai – an impressive acquisition for the then-teenager and a trophy that looked to be the first of many more to come.

The former junior world No. 1 has long been a player of great promise. She won seven titles in the junior game - including at 2020 Roland Garros, where she became the first home grown girls’ singles champion since Kristina Mladenovic 11 years earlier.
Kimberly Birrell was also a winner at W75 level this weekend, beating Maddison Inglis 6-2 4-6 7-6(2) to win her seventh title on the ITF World Tennis Tour and first of the season at W75 Brisbane.
The 26-year-old Australian climbs 11 spots to a career-high No. 75 in the WTA rankings this week.
