Hon excels on Australian soil again with W75 Brisbane triumph
Priscilla Hon continued her fine form at ITF World Tennis Tour events in Australia with victory at W75 Brisbane on Sunday.
The 26-year-old Australian defeated Leonie Kung, of Switzerland, 6-4 4-6 6-2 for a memorable triumph in her hometown.
Hon has proved to be especially effective when competing at home, with nine of her 12 career singles titles on the ITF World Tennis Tour coming in Australia, including each of her last six titles over the past three seasons.
Her latest triumph was her second title in Brisbane and comes 10 years after her last victory there – as a fresh-faced teenager in 2015.
Hon will have another opportunity to claim silverware in Brisbane this week, with another W75 event being staged at the Queensland Tennis Centre venue.

All three achieved new career-high rankings as a result.
Mboko rose to No. 215 with her sixth ITF singles crown and third of the year. Meanwhile, Leonard’s triumph was her fifth ITF singles title, the biggest of her career to date, and saw her climb to a career-high No. 176.
Prozorova rose to No. 178 after winning her 10th match on the bounce, following her W50 New Delhi+H triumph with another victory in India.
