Korea, Rep., Japan, Chinese Taipei and China, P.R. are in with a chance of ITF World Junior Tennis glory in 2025 after their girls’ teams reached the Finals following successful qualifying campaigns in Asia/Oceania.

The four nations navigated final qualifying within their region, which took place in the Malaysian city of Kuching, and now advance to the Finals where they will join Czechia who qualify automatically as hosts.

While Japan, Korea, Rep, and Chinese Taipei all featured at last year’s Finals, it will be the first time that China, P.R. has reached the business end of the competition since 2019.

The Finals of the ITF’s esteemed 14-and-under international team competition will take place from 4-9 August at Tenisovy Klub Prostejov, which celebrated 25 years of hosting the Finals in 2024.

Final qualification for boys’ teams in the Asia/Oceania region is taking place this week, while qualification will be concluded in other regions around the world in the coming weeks and months.

A total of 16 boys’ teams and 16 girls’ teams will compete at the Finals and compete for the illustrious title of world champions, just as professional players do in Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge and Davis Cup.

ITF World Junior Tennis is a real festival of junior tennis and a major developmental step for players as they continue their progression along the ITF player pathway, hopefully one day to the sport’s elite level.

Indeed, many of today’s top players have honed their skills at this event, going on to represent their nations at senior level, as well as earning individual honours at the Grand Slams and at Tour level.

Carlos Alcaraz, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Iga Swiatek, Andy Roddick, Coco Gauff, Bianca Andreescu, Lorenzo Musetti, Katerina Siniakova, Juan Martin del Potro, Kei Nishikori, Marketa Vondrousova, Alex de Minaur, Ash Barty, Felix Auger Aliassime and Frances Tiafoe have all represented their nations in ITF World Junior Tennis.
