Day in the Life: Mees Rottgering
Mees Rottgering of Netherlands is the star of the latest episode in the ITF’s Day in the Life YouTube series, which gives unique insight into the daily lives of tennis players around the world.
Mees is a player who has shown significant potential this season, culminating in him winning the ITF World Tennis Tour Junior Finals in Chengdu in October and reaching No. 3 in the ITF World Tennis Tour boys’ rankings.
The 17-year-old also made the boys’ final at the Junior Championships, Wimbledon in July – his best Junior Grand Slam performance – after enjoying a run to the semi-finals at January’s Australian Open Junior Championships.
Mees’s potential is also reflected by him reaching his maiden ITF World Tennis Tour Men’s final in February, while he was invited by the Netherlands team to November’s Davis Cup Final 8 in Malaga as a hitting partner.
The latest Day in the Life video goes behind the scenes and takes a close look at Mees’s daily routine. Viewers get to see the work he does with his team, check out his football skills and meet his dog, Elvis.
Day in the Life: Mees Rottgering follows the publication of Day in the Life: Joel Schwaerzler, Day in the Life: Renata Jamrichova and Day in the Life: Angella Okutoyi in 2024.
This year’s Day in the Life series builds upon the Day in the Life videos produced in 2023 with Alexandra Eala of the Philippines and Cooper Williams of the United States.
