ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors Junior Grand Slams and J500 tournaments

The Grand Slams are the most prestigious events on the Junior Tour, along with a further seven J500 events

Junior Grand Slams

All four of the Grand Slam tournaments host junior events alongside those for men and women.

Although the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors was not founded until 1977, the history of junior events at the Grand Slams dates back to the 1920s when boys and girls played competitions at the Australian Open.

As well as the Grand Slams, seven further J500 events also carry the greatest ranking points on the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors. As these tournaments are held in higher esteem they are also held to higher organisational requirements. They have a wide geographical range, taking place across Brazil, Germany, Mexico, Japan, Italy, USA and South Africa, affording players from all over the world the opportunity to attend.
